Start looking at her replacement!
Mountain Lions don’t even have to be angry to be deadly.
‘79 was the incident where a hunting guide got into a hand to hand with the bear. He claimed he killed it by stabbing with an arrow. Then the feds got involved over the death of an endangered critter. Took a while but the guide was eventually exonerated, or at least any charges were dropped.
“Police also issued a reminder that it is illegal to harass any wildlife.
“Harass means to unlawfully endanger, worry, impede, annoy, pursue, disturb, molest, rally, concentrate, harry, chase, drive, herd, or torment wildlife,” police said.
Sounds like its still OK to stampede cattle through The Vatican.
I remember it.
Do you remember a show with Marty Stouffer called “Wild America”? There were a few episodes where he got a grizzly cub from the Denver zoo and habituated it to release in the wild in Colorado because there was another bear in the area. I don’t recall what year that was.
The Rocky Mountain News did a story about cattle and sheep ranchers who said they saw grizzlies in the high mountains. I guess that was in the early ‘80s.
They may still be there in the Sangri de Christo range west of Trinidad.
Why do they taste better ?
Because they are full of crap?
Courtesy PING!
They taste better because they are rotten inside. Bears like the taste and smell of rotting meat.
