Very cool.

I like the idea of big cats in the neighborhood.

I’ve lived in SoCal for a long time, and i still get a kick out of the fact that “there’s lions in them thar hills.”

We like the big cats in our neighborhood.

They eat the deer and save us a lot landscaping problems.

Burglars stay away from big cat areas at night.

My wife ran across a mountain lion on one of her hikes in the hills here in NorCal Bay Area a couple months ago. Then she and I spotted a bobcat on trails in the same area a couple weeks later. There have been a lot of mountain lion sightings on the SF Peninsula this summer.

There was a mountain lion sighting in Palo Alto a couple weeks ago in a densely populated residential area.

Then there was this good one a few months back: "Mountain lion snatches dog from Pescadero bedroom."

...and a couple weeks ago, "Puma kill puts Los Altos Hills residents on alert." Asia Schulhof spotted a deer carcass on her driveway and her first thought before heading to work was "How would she dispose of it before it started to reek?" That problem took care of itself when the cat came back to drag it into the bushes and have meals ready for the week.
