I wonder why the nostalgia channels have not brought back “Real People”? Those of us who enjoyed watching Sarah Purcell and also the kitschy, funny stories that were on. Like the one featuring a woman who apparently did a radio show from a telephone booth or the office girl who got fired at John Deere in 1980 for photocopying her bare rear end (yes, I know what later happened to her unfortunately) and many others.
Real People had a host, Kip something, and he wore a skirt on one segment and for a brief split second his penis was visible.
But I will never forget the Yogi Kudu, the guy who could fold himself into a Lucite box about 1.5’ by 1.5’.
Later, they had him on do repeat the act and they put him and the box at the bottom of a swimming pool for several minutes. I thought that was cool.
