I realize we are probably heretics, but my Brit neighbor and I both think that Diana was a weak sister who walked into that marriage knowing exactly what would happen-then whined loudly for sympathy when it came to pass-she knew he had a real grownup for a mistress and was not going to stop seeing her for a clueless little girl, period. I’ve always liked Cammie-she is the strong one-the one who stood by her man, even getting a divorce to be with him in spite of all the venom that came her way for it.

However-I think Cammie’s man-Prince Charles-is a total incompetent lunatic-probably due to inbreeding in the royal family-so please, queenie-don’t give him any power...

Yes, it is an unpopular view. I like Camilla as well.

Diana had some real issues. I once read she loathed her step-mother and pushed her down the stairs. Whether that is true, I don’t know.

You seriously think a 19-year-old virgin knew all that? And that her 32-year-old round-heeled husband and his shameless married mistress did not take great advantage of her naiveté?

Not even if she had read all of Shakespeare could she have known what lay ahead.
