WMU was in the game until mid fourth quarter, at USC.

That does not bode well, as WMU had lost its excellent young coach at the end of last season. They're the third best team in the state of Michigan, and a far away third.

Not a good first game, just hope the poll voters don't know how close this game really was against a MAC mid major that isn't all that good.

Remember USC started slow last year. They lost the season opener to Alabama, 52-6 and Alabama had a rookie, freshman QB.

However, the Trojans won--by three touchdouns.

First game jitters. Even Ohio State took one half of a game to get rolling. USC will play better as will many of the other big programs.
