If you’re right, then why did Abercrombie lie about it? Governor Choom said Palafox asked to have his name withdrawn. In fact, he was told.
Maybe he wanted to prevent Dr. Palafox from going through a trial in the media. Or maybe he believed in innocent until proven guilty and people might think Dr. Palafox’s withdrawal was proof of guilt. Or maybe he didn’t want to reveal the investigation was going on (Dr. Palafox said he wasn’t aware of any investigation). Or maybe it was just Abercrombie incompetence.
