Lucky kid. I once found an 1898 indian head penny, but this girls find beats that by a couple thousand years.
I read elsewhere that the authorities took the coin and gave her a certificate of appreciation for finding it. She didn’t even get a t-shirt, let alone a decent fraction of what the coin is worth.
What the hell does CE mean?
Good news bump.
Common Era, I believe.
It’s what atheists use to remove God from society. A.D. of course is Anno Domini which is Latin for “in the year of our lord.”
Time to reverse that asinine decision.
Agreed.
Here’s a suggestion. Everytime you date something, adde AD to the year. I’m going to start doing it....even on my checks.
And get rid of that “changing of the clocks” fiasco.
That would be awesome.
:)
That’s what governments do - take and give nothing of value in return
See if you can get rid of the metric system while you are at it.
I just continue to use BC and AD which drives them even madder.
Everytime you date something, adde AD to the year. The proper way to do that is before the date, not after, and it should be used only for stand-alone years, such as A.D. 2017. God bless.
Things like.......walk a mile in my shoes...and other quips.
