Why is it when I visit Toronto I encounter numerous Arabs, Indians, Chinese, Africans, etc., who don’t speak either French or English? Try to order in English in a ChinaTown restaurant. Our immigration standards are a farce.
Maybe the immigration people are going through the motions with the English requirement, doing it because they have to letting in a lot of people who are not proficient. And they apply it to the English-speaking Irish too, to make it appear there is no discrimination going on.
