VFW and American Legion should take this one on.

Not those damned Nazis.

In 1951 the US Congress passed and POTUS signed a law that makes ALL Confederate States Veterans United States Veterans.

This is like defacing a VA cemetery.

Exactly. The communist little prick of a mayor should be sued for defacing a VA cemetery. I believe this would be a Federal felon offense? Sue the crap out of the little piece of shite.

"This is like defacing a VA cemetery."

It seems to me like Madison, Wisconsin, is breaking the law ...

"Congressional Act of 9 March 1906

We Honor Our Fallen Ancestors

(P.L. 38, 59th Congress, Chap. 631-34 Stat. 56)

Authorized the furnishing of headstones for the graves of Confederates who died, primarily in Union prison camps and were buried in Federal cemeteries.

Remarks: This act formally reaffirmed Confederate soldiers as military combatants with legal standing. It granted recognition to deceased Confederate soldiers commensurate with the status of deceased Union soldiers."

The section of the Camp Randall cemetery where the Confederate graves are located is not part of the National Cemetery at that location. The land where the Confederate graves are located is owned by the city of Madison. Each grave has a VA supplied Confederate head stone. The plaque to be removed was placed there by the City of Madison a long time ago.
