I did stop, Lady Jane, before her last or your first post.
Mears does very well on her own, as you can see.
I wasn’t trying to praise or condemn Watertown, Boston or Lexington, for that matter.
I spoke up about the militarization of the area after the Marathon bombing. Shocked me at the time, still does.
Thanks for the note.
The people of Watertown were terrified and were delighted by the way that it was handled, especially after the idiots killed Sean Collier.
In a perfect world, that type of police response would have been unnecessary, but it’s not a perfect world.
Thanks for your unput,ladyjane.
Yes, the police response was shocking.
BTW - I heard the other day how the police knew to go to Watertown to get the two terrorist brothers. At the time they said the brothers had been spotted in the hijacked car heading west toward Watertown.
In fact, the brothers made a mistake of hijacking a new hi-end car. The new technology allowed them to track the location of the car.
Technology also allowed them to place the older brother at the site of the triple homicide. He and his accomplice had their cell phones with them. One year later the police were able to dig up those records and determine that the two were at the site at the time of the beheading of the three students.
