When that infamous "transgender policy training" was imposed on everyone associated with the military back in June, the numbers the trainers stated were 1-2 thousand.
I would wonder why the numbers are that high. Considering that "transgender treatment" consists of constant hormone supplementation, and that such supplementation has some pretty serious physical risks and consequences--I would think that such people would not pass the entrance physical exam.

I actually did a decent breakdown of the numbers on one of the Coast guard articles, gimme a sec.. And yes, these numbers include active duty and Guard/Reserve.
According to the article at the end, there are exactly THIRTEEN CG guys who 'self-identify' as 'transgender'. Out of a total of about 73,000 personnel, not including civilian full-timers. That is .018%. Two-hundreths of a percent. If we float that same number to the other armed services, we can assume:
Army: with 990k soldiers, we have 176 people messed up.
Navy: 430k sailors gives us 77 more!
AirForce: 490k peeps means we might have around 88 guys who think they're 'trans'.
Marines (even though they're really just part of the Navy): 220k guys mean around 40 have these mental issues.
And, even if we
triple these numbers to account for those who still haven't decided if they're 'transsexuals', we only have
1200 people. That's not even close to 'thousands'....
