The issue is whether amendments can be crafted to make violation of the principles of the Constitution more difficult. I don't believe that to be possible with the country as it is now. The Constitution is being ignored daily in so many ways that the statement "the rule of law is dead in the USA" is no longer an exaggeration, it is a fact.
An amendment would be ignored just as the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are currently ignored and under assault.

Term limits for presidents is an example of a provision which cannot be violated secretly. All the necessary information is undeniable public knowledge.
