Nowadays it is more complicated, especially if you are going to March and block streets. It is how local governments can plan, advise the public, etc.
I would most certainly want to know about events so I could avoid the areas!
I understand all that, thanks. It just seems discombobulated to have to get a permit from the government to peacefully protest against that very same government. The key word being peacefully.
