I also wondered who called those high-level “match-making” services whose adverts one sees in airline magazines
I was at a business event and one of the men walked in with his new wife from the Ukraine. OMG. She was beautiful, tall, long legs, blonde hair down to her backside. Conversations stopped. He claimed he met her on a plane. The real story was he saw the ad in a magazine on a plane.
The rest of the story: he actually married her and they had a baby. Then her entire family came to live with him. LOL If you are wondering, yes, he is old and he has a lot of money.
Dating sites are mostly scams.
Try signing up with even Match (one of the better ones) and two hrs later, you will start getting pings from what I call “Underwear Models”
The goal is to get new users into paying customers.
Women get the same thing...
Body Men living on the beach in Florida.
I know somebody who used a matchmaking service.
He actually liked it, but he ended up getting married to a girl he met elsewhere, not through the service.
He said he liked it, but his attitude was, if he met some interesting people, had a nice dinner out, etc., even if it didn’t lead to more, he was happy enough with it.
I find them creepy and odd.
It's always women running them, and they come off as arrogant and yet ignorant. In reading them I get the idea that they were bored, wealthy housewives with a need to meddle in the lives of others.
The ads clearly try too hard.
