indeed. nothing but dreck for over 10 years. haven’t been tempted the slightest to go the theaters in that time. and crappy movies don’t get any better just because you can stream them for “free” a few months later; i’d rather rewatch great movies of the past a second or third time.

besides, movies are no longer where good entertainment is being made: the entertainment with the best production values is being made in the form of series from cable channels, streamers like HBO & Netflix and foreign countries. For example, right now, HBO’s Westworld blows everything else away, and even Game of Thrones is far more compelling than any movie made in the last 10 years.
