I have DISH, and it does that occasionally, but it’s not limited to FOX news.
Just turn off the cable box, and turn it back on, if your problem is the same as mine, the sound will return.

Sometimes I have the same problem with Cignal Satellite. I just reset the satellite receiver to factory specs. Problem solved.
