Not sure the Jetson’s envisioned the need for a Falcon Heavy to make them fly..

If it were Thailand, Indonesia, or, apparently, Korea yes. But you know the entrenched rumor about Chinese food in this country..

"And now, it’s afternoon. Soon, it will be evening."

It all evens out, eventually.

Odd, but I can’t mourn that assessment.

Mr Bill needs new front brake pads, Bob. Is there a brand you would recommend? Probably on Tuesday, I’ll call Jerry to see what the labor charges are on the replacement.

Last time I checked, he charged $65 per hour, but that was a couple of years ago. I’m almost afraid to ask him, now. :o|

Apropos of something today, I found myself saying, “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a cat.” It was kinda weird. Even for me.

You forgot: This is the Thread where you can always do an “apropos of...” for no good reason. As in, I am up in the night because (apropos of [insert excuse here])

I mopped and vacuumed the floors, then emptied and cleaned out an electronics equipment crate, cleaned out the kitchen sink drains with baking soda and vinegar and managed to find a few minutes with Charlie. And someone else, but I think it was the guy who keeps nagging me about “detailing” my vehicle. That’s ONE person who will never see the inside of the BB SUV and that’s a FACK JACK!

And then there was Pete and his dog Elvis, who managed to show up within just a few minutes of when I was going to sit with Charlie. I also dropped a raw egg on my freshly mopped kitchen floor, and I’m still trying to figure out how that happened. Hmpf.

It all made sense until the raw egg. Use bleach so you don’t get salmonella!

The egg is in the trash, and I re-mopped that section of floor, so the salmonella is a non-issue.

I got another egg from the fridge and made a breakfast burrito, but I wish I’d had a hash brown patty to add to it. Or at least, part of a hash brown patty. It would have been really good then. Also, a dash of Tobasco.

And now, I need to go crawl into the bedroom and try to relax for the night. It’s been a strange day, for sure.

(We lost another resident yesterday, and the resident deaths always upset my equilibrium, for some reason.)

For brake pads, don’t choose the cheapest brand offered. All of them will work, but the middle cost will work almost as well as the highest in price. But don’t go cheap. They get your wheels dirty.

Agree with NNB on brake pads. Cheap is out but just about all the middle range is good. You don’t need the superduper premium ones unless you drive 50k or so miles a year. My local parts emporium will tell me (usually) something like ‘we have these @ $20, these @ $30, and these @ $56.99..’

When I was driving 60k miles a year I got the gold plated ones. They didn’t really stop noticeably better than the midpriced ones, just lasted a bit longer considering the miles I drove. Since I doubt you drive anywhere near 50 -60 k a year you will never know the difference. ;-)
