My gosh. Do you listen to yourself. How about nuns who wear the same clothing chanting Hail Mary up to the clouds? You need to be very careful as the ice is melting around you.
I’ve never heard a nun brag about her individuality or uniqueness.
With all due respect, napscoordinator -- a job that sounds lovely, btw. :) -- I think it is different.
Nuns have their face uncovered, but more importantly, they choose that vocation; they feel called to serve God. No one forces them to wear modest clothing.
My daughter tries to compare Christianity to Islam, and yes, there was the Spanish Inquisition, but that was hundreds of years ago and there is no other faith that has brought more good to the world than that of those who believe in the tenets of Christianity and Jesus Christ's sayings, or Judaism, for that matter.
Only crazy Christians or Jewish people slaughter others in the name of their religion; it is extremely rare. Unfortunately, that is not the case with radical followers of Islam.
And I have Muslim friends who do not agree with what some of the people do in the name of their religion.
Take care, Julie
Nuns do their thing because they WANT to. Big difference.
