Grade inflation has been going on since the early seventies, and the SAT has been dumbed down at least once, maybe twice in the interim. It all started in colleges who did not want to flunk out students and subject them to the draft during the VietNam War. Then it spread to high schools under pressure from the "self esteem" movement and ambitious parents contesting their little darlings' poor grades.

The schools and teachers don't care, they just look better if their students are all on the honor roll.

grade inflation is also a sign of passing the blame.

with quota hires. Grades do not matter, Tests do not matter. Only pigment and mating behavior matter on who is hired or NOT hired.

even law school test scores have dropped through the floor.
