Wonder when the authorities will charge Pops with allowing a minor to possess a handgun without supervision/presence...Generally speaking, in most states, you need some sort of ticket to buy one, you need a permit to carry one but a firearm that is in the home and properly secured may be used for self defense by any occupant who has a legal right to be there.
