The problem is many of the airline employees and “attendants” who since they were given a big hammer are now on a total power trip. Yes some abuse this based on their own political bias as well. Others abuse it “just because”. Oddly, despite many of the recent outrages by such employees as well as those in charge of these airlines, they are even getting worse and stuck on stupid.
The outrage involved here is, these same clowns “in charge” are too afraid to do anything that would seem “politically incorrect” against an obvious Muslim troublemaker - so instead of making things safer for airline travelers, they have made things more unsafe and when they abuse passengers it is always the non-Muslims, white Euro types, Chinese, etc., but if you are a Muslim - especially if you are a female muslim with a bed sheet thrown over you - you are practically worshiped by the same abusive “attendants” and “those in charge” who treat you like s**t.
Yes, Delta sucks big time, United and others are not a good way to fly. Oddly enough, some of the best are from the “Middle East”, specifically from the UAE such as Emirates Airlines or Etihad. I am serious. They treat everyone fantastic, and are the safest as well as Israeli airlines.
Again as far as safety, 407 airlines were recently examined on operational history, incident records and excellence to arrive at the top 20 safest airlines. At the top were Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airlines, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways.
I have traveled all over the world. The worst, most abusive, outrageous experience I ever had was on British Airways. Their “attendants” were on a total power trip at the time, abusing many of the passengers, including my family. We ordered specific food, and the guy who had already abused others comes down the isle and literally throws some sandwich in my lap that I did not order. I was shocked, looked at it, then put it back on the “cart” he was pushing and said I didn’t want this nor was it what I ordered.
He threaten to have me held and have my entire family thrown off the plane. I couldn’t believe it. I did not act in any manner reactive or mean or angry, just put the sandwich back on his cart saying this is not what I ordered.
Some other female attendant came to sort of save the day. But it was really outrageous, this guy who apparently was also have a “boyfriend hissy fit” with some other male attendant was flipped out on some anger management issues.
It can be very situational on many of these airlines regarding their employees today. And I agree with AC, Delta sucks. Avoid British Airways as well. I have had good experiences with Alaska Airlines, I hope they haven’t gone to the dark side. Avoid Malaysian Airlines. Never been on Air New Zealand but heard they are pretty good.
One thing for sure, however. I would rather fly from SFO to Disneyland in Anaheim rather than drive. That’s for sure. And I would rather fly Air Canada to Vancouver than drive that as well. I am 61, and while I have done a lot of driving in my days - A LOT - I think I have had enough of these long drives. Enough already. But I am thinking of getting a Tesla and let the car drive me, instead. Sure, I may die. But what the heck.
Alaska Airline IS good. Unfortunately their direct flights to the west coast are limited to two destinations.
LOL!
