“What is wrong with these cops?”
What is wrong with them is that they have a license to kill that comes in the form of saying that they “were in fear for their life”.
If you have a badge you can do almost anything so long as you use the magic words:
“I was in fear for my life”
“He/she/it lunged at me”
“Officer safety was at stake”
“It was justifiable force”
And don’t forget that to get away with all of this they have to make sure it’s not caught on video and that’s why these days if you REALLY want to provoke the police you don’t aim a gun at them, you aim a CAMERA at them!
It strikes me that if they subsequently really had to fear for their lives, they might cut this crap out.
