The NFL is under no legal requirement to employ Kaepernick. No judge could compel a team to sign him. But the quarterback, who has been passed over repeatedly for jobs this offseason — jobs that have gone to far less accomplished passers — could potentially sue the league.

Kapernick has bitten the hand that fed him very well.
He's learning the lessons of that.
Yes ESPN you hire him and pay him $20 million/year to pass footballs around the NFL Countdown set! Win, win plus you could promote the black panthers, Joanne chesimard, Che, Fidel, maduro, Chavez, hillary, Bernie the embezzler, bammy the crook, and the sky is falling algore. People are free to commit career suicide about being oppressed while earning $20 million per year. Or he could go back to his African roots homeland to make a real difference; he could be the star soccer player kicking around a dead goat’s head for 15 euro per season....

No, he cannot force any team to sign him.
Real world legal situation?
He would have to find 12 people who agreed with him. Even in a state allowing a preponderance, non unanimous jury verdict, I’d find a couple of vets to tie up any jury.
Perhaps he ought to pursue a job in the Canadian football league. The he could stand for “oh can of duz”.
That is Colin Kaepernick’s second favorite position - behind kneeling when decent people stand for our flag.
If Colin could successfully sue, so could ever conservative actor in Hollywood denied a job because of his political views.
You can sue a ham sandwich. Oh, wait that’s indict a ham sandwich. But the results would be similar.
I respect Tim Tebow. NFL treated him worse. I didn’t hear him whine or think that he had PRIVILEGE and entitlement. He didn’t like what the NFL did. But he forgave and moved on.
Kaepernick opted out of his contract with SF. Probably not even eligible for unemployment compensation
Maybe he could get the same deal the USFL (or was it the WFL) got when they won their collusion case against the NFL. $1, triple damages
He can sue them for allowing his bullsheeet!
So yeah, I say yes.

No, I have had no problem avoiding Kaepernick. I have rad articles on FR that refer to him not being able to get a job. I am also interested in articles about his right to a job. I read those because I feel he has no rights to his job. That his job is that of an entertainer. And to the extent that people don’t watch him playing football, he will be less valuable to a team, even if he is an OK quarterback and can be gotten for a cheap price.
But he does offend me. And I don’t merely root against him. I don’t watch.
Is there anyone who thinks there's an offensive line in the NFL that will protect him?

It’s a free country. He’s free to protest, the team is free to fire him, and the fan’s are free to protest Kaepernick and the NFL.
