Only if he could prove collusion between the owners.
Way to Go, Matthews! I watched his dad play for the Browns for years!
Let him try the CFL and earn his way back.
Employment as a professional entertainer requires the whole package - including a customer service ethic. Being a Professional Angry Negro disqualifies most applicants.
______
Here! Here! I have said this repeatedly. He was being paid to perform, period. Quite Frankly, if he carried the team to at least the play offs then none of this would be happening. When yo are at the top of the game you are given a bit of leeway...when you are the towel boy then its a little different isn’t it?
I have been a 49ers fan since forever. I have been through losing seasons after losing season. I enjoyed the Montana and Young years because it was thrilling football. Capernick had a spark that quickly faded.
Then again I think that all of professional football has degraded to some extent. It just doesn’t seem like football anymore. Maybe its all the rule changes etc...too much hype like every game is some Celestial Rolling Stones Concert to something...I take baseball any day...Nice slow even pace interrupted with an occasional play. Good announcing makes the game.
Take about announcers. The Giants had Hank Greenwald for a number of years and I think he was one of their best announcers. I liked Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons, but Hank brought something to the booth that was special. He could spin a story around pitch after fly ball and carry it through a double header...He was great. But then again that was on radio which is the proper medium for baseball in my opinion.
I digress here....Capernick...he can go sell cars or something...He’s done. He couldabeen a contender but mucked it up himself.
Speaking of Tebow, despite showing no ability in ‘A’ ball, committing more errors in the OF than would be accepted from a beginning IFer, he was promoted to ‘AA’ ball. He’s good for business. So even a minimum of talent gets a job if he’s good for business.
Kaepernick just isn’t good for business. Ask ESPN why they don’t want to hire such a talented guy!
No team signed me.
Can I sue?
Just told my buddy the other day that if Obama were still President, make no mistake he WOULD interject himself and pressure the NFL to making a roster spot for this idiot.
So that is what they are calling it these days
Kaepernick should go play football in a third world craphole of a country (like those I fought in as a US Army Infantry soldier) and see how that works out for him.
If he doesn’t take a snap in professional football ever again, that would be fine with me.
Speaking of which, haven't heard much from that TWNDU character.
I'm certainly not going patronize any future "work" of his.
I gave up on the NFL in 1999, so Kaepernick can go 'balling in Bali with BHO, for all I care.
Not AA. St. Lucie is the Mets high-A team. Columbia was their low-A team. Give him two more years and I expect to see him playing for the Kansas City T-Bones.
“Let him try the CFL and earn his way back.”
I watched Doug Flutie and Warren Moon - HE’S NOT THEM!
Besides, the CFL game is more of a team sport - I don’t think young Colin would be a fit.
Your suit (and mine) would probably have a better chance than his, because you could definitely prove that they were guilty of age and weight discrimination.
The Undefeated is ESPN’s blacks-only, social-justice-spewing “sports” website—a truly pathetic, “by morons, for morons” destination.
Kaepernick could apply to sell concessions at an NFL venue. Maybe not the cotton candy guy as it could be a mess with the huge ‘fro hairstyle...
He’s still too r a d i o a c t i v e ! ! !
There is precedent for Kaepernick being able to sue. In 1987, MLB lost a series of arbitration cases for colluding against players. I’m not saying anything about Kaepernick or whether he should be employed or not, I’m just saying there is precedent for him to seek some type of remedy against the owners.
Exact same level of recourse as Cutler, Romo and RGIII. Lots of high profile QBs out of the league this year, but only one anybody is crying about.
Average NFL career is 3 to 6 years. That’s the reality of human ability. Physical reaction time normally peaks around age 24, then it’s wiles and guile, or exceptional genetics. CK got his six years.
Racism.
