Another village we are supposed to emulate due to longivity of the people? How many villages does that make over the years.

Some village in the Caucus area of Russia and Vilcabamba Equador were the hot spots forty years ago. Peace and harmony, close to nature, Shangri-Las on earth, and such nonsense.

I read that a lot of the people in the Russian wilderness areas lied about their birth dates so they would qualify for the Soviet pension while still young. In a lot of those isolated villages written records were unknown and the communists just gave up and took everyone at their word.
Seems a more likely theory than any other.
