That is a massive over-simplification!

The “acceptance” of our Lord and savior is described in detail in John’s first epistle. It is definitely not the utterance of the imaginary, non-biblical prayer of magical salvation proffered by most churches.

Peter, Paul, and John take great issue with the idea of that foolish prayer that leads millions to eternal destruction.

Most have no clue what it means to live under a LORD. Accepting the gift of salvation from the Judge on the throne is the first step (He becomes your defense lawyer) but the lifelong commitment (represented in marriage) is the next. The parable of the seeds is given to explain what happens when people hear the truth of the Gospel.
