This life is irrelevant really except as the door to the hereafter as per your post

Of course. If we eat the way liberals want us to eat - getting protein only from bugs and tofu - there will be no way to know whether we live forever or it just seems that way.

If this life is irrelevant, why did Jesus spend most of his time healing people of their physical aliments? God cares very much about “this life” which is not mutually exclusive to his concern for our eternal life.

Sorry buddy

Everlasting life matters

Jesus came here to show God loves us

Not to prove the special relevance of our mortal lives

The two are not mutually exclusive. If nothing in this life matters as you say, why did Jesus spend most of his time healing sick bodies?

I didn’t say nothing matters

I said it was irrelevant except as a conduit to the hereafter

Christ healed the sick cause he was kind and could

Not to demonstrate the importance of earthly life

And least not to me

Well, Jesus did not demonstrate the mutually exclusive view of this life versus the next one. Everyone who had and has eternal life now is very important to Jesus right now, not just as a "as a conduit to the hereafter".

The Bible never says that and Jesus never demonstrated that. The Bible says just the opposite when it declares God's heart that he "wishes above all things that you be in health and prosper even as your soul prospers" (3 John 2). Those are no the words of someone who says this life doesn't matter except as a "conduit to the hereafter".

Yes.

I’m old enough to remember many stories of this kind; they seem to come out about every ten years, referring to different, somewhat isolated communities in various places around the world.

They seem to have a few things in common:

They live in less-technological areas, where they experience far less mental/emotional stress.

They eat a more natural, less-processed diet, and still have to do at least a modicum of physical ‘work’ and exercise to attend to their daily needs.

They live daily lives that are far more ‘in-touch’ with the natural world.

And they live in cultures where connection with family/friends/small community is very important.

Yes; maybe God expects us to DO WORK here - work on ourselves, as well as work for the greater good of the world and our fellow man. It’s only logical that we are part of His plan for fulfilling His creation here.
