As others have said it sounds like someone installed a skimmer on the pump. I would call the station and tell them the pump you used if you remember or have it on the receipt. That could save a lot of other people your trouble.
I just had a card replaced when someone tried to make two iTunes purchases with it. The bank called me, I denied the charges and they sent me a replacement card.
