I thought people only lived in Arizona in the winter.

When it’s livable.

Read ON THE BORDER WITH CROOK by Burke, to see what the weather there was like in the 1870s.

No change.

What’s not to like about a free sauna every day for several months of the year?

I worked at a big company in Phoenix 20 years ago. They would keep the indoor temperature around 68. I liked nothing better than to come out at the end of the day and warm up. The typical 107 degrees wasn’t enough, however. I would sit in my car that had been baking in the sun all day and REALLY warm up. Must have been 140 degrees. After a while I’d turn on the car and the AC and go home.

All Morford cares about is the weather’s sexual orientation.

Yeah snowflakes melt in Phoenix... And?

I have lived here since 1984... and never lived in a house with an air conditioner, nothing but swamp coolers for me, I will say our new dual pane windows made an amazing difference. Today was warmest day so far inside the house, our high today was 85. Tuesday when it hit 119 we only reached 79 inside, Swamp coolers work pretty good for the time that “It’s a dry heat” Monsoon season, not so much.

Sometimes it’s warm, sometimes it’s cold. It’s called weather.

It’s Morford hyperventilating and burning up all those nasty adjectives that’s doing it, I tell you. Make him buy carbon credits from China before we all roast to death in a fiery hell.

Longest stretch of temps in Phoenix being in excess of 110 degrees was in 1974. 18 days. And that was when the coming ice age was all the climate alarmists raving points were about at the time.

I was in Phoenix on June 10th one year. It was 106 degrees. No amount of money could convince me to go back. :-)
