My plan to foster kittens for my animal shelter where we used to volunteer has been sabotaged by my family’s concomitant plan to adopt these 2 little mewsies. We got them at about 4 weeks and they are probably triple the size(about 10 wks old now) and now the spouse and daughter are pushing to adopt them and making me the bad guy because I said no. I brought them to the shelter this am for more vaccinations and asked about the spaying and rabies shots and microchips in their future and asked if they could be adopted together since they are quite bonded. The shelter was full and they told me they have over 100 kittens in another building and more out in fosters. Which makes me think the odds are not in their favor and I know we could give them a good home and keep them together. So I was angry about the sabotage earlier this week and am coming around because I am a huge squish about animals. I wanted a dog for a jogging buddy and we’ll end up with 2 kittens instead. And I will have to do 99% of their care. Not happy. Heavy sigh.

Two kittens, or not two kittens, that is the question.
Whether ‘tis nobler to have gasped and cuddled, or run with thy dog at lease...
Or something like that.
Oh, how fantastic-two precious pets to pamper and love...
Maybe you’re not happy now, but when you wake up with two furry critters snuggled up against you, purring their little brains out, you won’t think anymore about how this all started ...
You have new kittens! Wooeee. A++
