“Olive oil compound stimulates anti-cancer molecule miR-7 & may help prevent brain cancer”
My nephew-in-law is fighting this battle. In his 20’s

In Revelation God commands that olive oil and wine not be destroyed. Healing and psych relief, imho.
Rev. 6:5-6 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come! And I looked, and there was a black horse. The horseman on it had a balance scale in his hand. Then I heard something like a voice among the four living creatures say, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius but do not harm the olive oil and the wine (HCSB).
The American Heart Association is an ignorant organization.
“Saturated fat” is not a problem. Your body manages well the small amounts of saturated fat delivered in most cases in normal eating patterns. No one sits and gorges on a bowl of saturated fat. Medical nutrition experts are not dismayed over a diet that has 10% of saturated fats. From my personal experience, in which I do not avoid saturated fats, it would be very difficult for me to consume anything near 10% in saturated fat.
Also, their link, claimed to be direct high cholesterol is neither so direct nor so assured.
Read the following and then go fix some bacon.

Also, other studies have suggested that the “clogging of arteries” is not a result of cholesterol, but of inflammation of the interior of arterial walls due to elements of the diet having nothing to due with cholesterol. That inflammation is not caused by the cholesterol. It makes for an internal surface that is no longer smooth and causing the cholesterol to get collected there instead of passing on to the cells where it would be processed.
Oh no! Is it sick? [/very poor attempt at humor]
“We are getting that mayo too! Not bad.”
it has a nutty flavor, which at first seems a bit odd after so many decades of bland, tasteless soy oil mayo.
“I never heard before that less than 3,000 is also detrimental. I wonder if its actually verified or some other factor involved that they are missing.”

“I heard that vegetable oil was NOT healthy.”
very true for high PUFA oils like soy, cottonseed, corn, canola, et. al.; the very oils used in mayo, salad dressings, bakery goods, and for frying snack foods like chips.

Here is a reference:
The science is not inconsistent. But everything that gets printed is not science.
The AHA is not a good source on this subject. They have very strong biases against where the actual science is leading. So they tend to publish very misleading things. Such as this "study".
I still hear it from time to time.
