Check out Secondhand Lions with Duvall and Caine. Great movie about raising a boy and what manhood is, leavened with some really funny humor. Never got the attention it should have, IMHO.

There was great chemistry between Indiana Jones and his father, Dr. Henry Jones, which resulted in their reconciliation at the end of the film, each sharing adventures of various sorts including the lovely Dr. Elsa Schneider.
