I'm a Lonely Little Petunia in an Onion Patch--Two Ton Baker (1947)
The Teapot Song (aka I'm a Little Teapot)--Horace Heidt & His Musical Knights (1941)
Everybody Wants a Little Peace--Billy Gray's Hollywood Band Box Revue (1948)
(As far as I know, this is the only song about the Truman Doctrine that was ever recorded)
There was definitely a little wackiness in the air musically during the 40’s. That “Hitler Lives” sounds like some sort of left wing sendup of evangelicals, it’s so churchy. But, I’m familiar with “I’m A Lonely Little Petunia In An Onion Patch,” just not the same artist and far more recent.
