One of the mainstay courses at the recently newsworthy Evergreen State College is an all-year course entitled The Human Condition. This 36-credit course has its inspiration from a book of the same name written by Hannah Arendt (1906-75). Arendt was an assimilated German Jewess student in the Weimar Republic before the rise of National Socialism ....

A course on fascism taught by fascists.
Social Justice is Bolshevism, not fascism.
That sums it up pretty well ....
Marxism is all about humanism, industrial progress, economics, and the working class - things that were dumped a long time ago by the Left. The latest whore of the Left is back to Fascism as when Germany began abandoning Marxism for Fascism. Fascism is a blending of Socialism, Marxism and Capitalism. It is all around us. Fascism means holism ...

In my college days I took a whole course on Heidegger.
I dutifully read his books, took notes, and listened carefully in class. The professor had a German accent that made his English impossible to understand.
I never understand what the h__ Heidegger was talking about—if any Freepers have figured it out speak up!
P.S Fortunately none of the other students did either so I got a gentlemen’s B.
How these campus Bolsheviks differ from fascists is that they want to tear the nation down and oppress the oppressors (whites). They did it in Russia and the mean to use the same playbook the Bolsheviks used. The Russians called them gulags; Hillary would have called them “fun camps”.

Hannah Arendt - the real Frau Blucher (hose whinny)
That was her married name and Gene Wilder knew it.
I very much enjoy the later work of Heidegger. If any thing I do can be called “thinking,” then my thinking has been greatly influenced by him.
I fear that Pastor Musser got in over his head here. To write an essay with so much talk of Heidegger and no mention of ‘phenomenology,’ ‘personalism,’ or the thought of Pope St. John Paul II is really to track only one strand of a complicated conversation.
I stopped reading at “assimilated German Jewess.” Either the author is horrifically tone-deaf, or his head is full of stuff I don’t want to know.
Exactly!
Race is a fascist issue, not a Bolshevik. One of the cardinal doctrines of Marxism was the international Soviet man. Mutliculturalism is not the new international Soviet man where race no longer mattered, but a fascist form of multi-tribalism or multi racism that celebrates the differences or diversity. But of course, many Marxists of yesteryear are on board with all this, but because they believe their own foolish propaganda about fascism, they have adopted fascist ideas and practices without even knowing it.
He’s got an agenda.
“Jewess” is unfortunate diction. I let it slide as a cultural difference. But the whole article seems to me to be jamming some people into a template and then saying, “See there? They’re just wicked!”
One of the great tutors at my college once said that Heidegger was a rare thing, a great philosopher who was a bad man. I think that’s about right.
Such "complete nonsense" is impossible to comprehend. Marxist has not only been devoid of humanism in over a century of practice, but also in its very conception.
Here's what Marx's co-Author and Marxism's co-founder Engels admitted about Marxist Revolution:
"A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon authoritarian means, if such there be at all; and if the victorious party does not want to have fought in vain, it must maintain this rule by means of the terror which its arms inspire in the reactionists.""Humanism" my ass!
Marxistm has not only
That does certainly not mean 36 credit hours I hope.
Not humanist? Marxism has always been based on humanism. It’s the belief that individuals are born good but are corrupted by the institutional capitalist machinery. Cultural Marxism is the symbolic belief that with the “right” type of enlightened individuals, we can return to the Garden of Eden and remake man devoid of his structural flaws. All totalitarian ideologies are humanistic parasites that follow quasi-religious substructures...the belief that “right” people with the “right” knowledge can remake the fundamental nature of mankind. This is why it is so fanatical and so dangerous; it adherents follow it with the zeal of any religious cult fanatic.
