The author is mostly correct. Reduce business taxes. Let the states decide about their own health care, simplify the process to become a legal citizen, once vetted, dramatically reduce the costs and the waiting time. Keep adding more well trained border patrol personnel.

Make clear and consistent policy statements. For example, Nikki Haley should not be contradicting T-Rex too greatly. Some of these things are already happening. Stay the course. Plus hold rallies every two or three weeks as is practical.
Announce your victories loudly and repeatedly.
Pres. Trump is finding ways to reduce spending of federal funds on redundant, or obsolete programs.

“The author is mostly correct.”

Correct. But to the unthinking Trump cultists who increasingly populate FR these will be wasted thoughts. I’m a Trump skeptic who was glad he was elected and wish his Administration would grow up and quit being a dumpster fire. Pursue a conservative agenda and quit Tweeting. It makes the Trump Admin look like a clown show. Govern like a grownup, not someone with the impulse control of a pubescent. Some of what Trump is doing makes me smile, more makes me grimace. My own judgement is that his erratic behavior, dearth of knowledge, and absence of philosophical principle will ultimately inflict generations worth of damage to whatever is left of the Conservative Movement.

Trump’s greatest strength is that he has all the right enemies on the left and squishy middle. But that alone does not make a good presidency. To be a great President would require two things, which he will not. 1) he needs to realize it is not all about his brand. 2) he needs to become (or at least pretend) he is a Conservative. Neither is likely.
