Same thing happened in my family, we have always been very close, the vast majority of the family are either ardent Republicans or politically indifferent, however one uncle has always been a staunch democrat, he supported Obama and campaigned hard for Hillary. For decades this accounted for little more than just some friendly political banter at the family get-togethers. However, this year was different, it got really nasty, it started during the campaign with him posting constant trash about Trump on Facebook (racist, sexist, "Drumph", the typical leftist garbage). At first we just ignored it, then we got sick of seeing his daily screeds and started defending Trump and attacking Hillary. By election day, the attacks had gotten really personal.

After the election, he blocked every family member on Facebook. Several of us even sent, "Ok, election's over, but we're family, let's move on and forget about it" emails. But no response. On memorial day, the family has a tradition of putting flowers on departed relatives graves, he has shown up to ever one for over 30 years. But not this year, he didn't show. I guess he really did disown us over Trump....

A lot of Democrats are really butt hurt because Hillary was destined to win. This was her turn and the Democrats ensured that the Republicans would be stuck with an unelectable candidate. There was no way Hillary could lose this election. That’s why they blame the Russians.
