Back in the 80’s a controversial preacher was being hounded by the Press for an interview. Hounded. So this preacher arranged a sit down with a news organization and he presented a legal document to the press for signature that outlined his willingness for Interview only if certain conditions were met.
(I’m paraphrasing here)
1. His organization would be allowed to record it and retain the rights to the interview.
2. The interview had to be presented whole and not edited as to change the context of the questions or answers.
The news organization refused, he was never interviewed. Which suited this controversial preacher just fine as he wasn’t interested in publicity nor self aggrandizement. He had more important things to accomplish.
