I’ve a renewed interest in liver cancer with a sweet cousin who has it now. I’m certain she has never smoked and she has tasted alcohol only a few times in her life.
I had a granddad who died of lung cancer, having never smoked in his life. It’s almost impossible to figure out what causes what.
My dear grandfather, who also never smoked or drank, died from liver cancer in the early '60s. He was a farmer. I suspect the cause in his case was exposure to toxic pesticides and herbicides over many decades of farming.
So it is clear that for many afflicted, liver cancer is not due to bad 'lifestyle' choices. But article seems to indicate the current statistical spike has a lot to do with drugs, alcohol and increased incidence of hepatitis. IOW, increased decadence in our de-moralized culture.
