The only thing that has worked for my chronic hand pain is vicodin. My rheumatologist can prescribe only one prescription. I need to go to a pain management clinic if I am to get more and apparently they will do anything but prescribe.
I sympathize, because my wife has had chronic back pain for a number of years, and has been doing the pain-center thing for the last few. They will prescribe effective pain medication, but seldom enough, so that she is usually in severe pain for several days before each visit. They will never allow an increase in the prescription.
Damn all of the a-holes who, by misusing drugs, cause my wife to suffer unnecessary pain.
