The box said "Halal." He should probably get the price of the pizza back and a complimentary pizza coupon for one pepperoni pizza.
He objects to the pepperoni saying that pepperoni is made with pork which indicates he did not eat of it.

I doubt it’s possible to prepare pork in halal fashion.
Maybe sometimes it’s made with lamb, deer, or chicken....I’m not sure about that.

There's Turkey pepperoni as well. Though it's neither Kosher nor halal, Hormel makes it.
