My last two phones before switching to a Samsung S7 were Apple products, a 4 and a 5S. Both started having "issues" (brief battery life, inability to send emails) within a year of purchase. My provider told me they were "Apple Problems" so I went to their store at a local mall and tried to get the problems solved by their "geniuses". I was treated like an annoyance and no solutions were found.
I suspect that when Steve Jobs was around and running things Apple was earning their reputation for quality and customer support. But I will never again buy anything they offer.

within a year of purchase That would still be in warranty so no matter whose problem it was it would be covered.

Everyone says Apple products are “intuitive.” Personally I don’t find that to be so. I find Linux O/S to be more intuitive. Everytime I’m asked to set something up on an Ipad, my eyes glaze over.
Sadly I’ve found that almost every Apple product owner/user thinks they are a genius and can screw up a Microsoft product faster than a cat can claw up a sofa.
