During the Civil War, in New Orleans, US General Butler was so popular the people placed his photo in places of honor, like thunder mugs, chamber pots and pee pots.

Don’t know that there is one, but as you undoubtedly know Grant’s Tomb is in NYC. A decade or so ago it fell into such a state of neglect that the Sons of Confederate Veterans organization offered to come to NY and help clean it up.
