You remind me of my past.
My first wife always wanted to have these serious talks with me. To get me to do x, y and z. I suppose I was a disappointment to her as I didn’t become the man she wanted. All I wanted her to do was make dinner, clean up the house and have enough energy and desire for sex. The things she did at first, sigh.
Looking back, it was like two ships passing in the night.
After she gave me the “I’m not in love with you speech” I went abroad and found a nice Christian woman from a poor country. She doesn’t try to mold me into her idea of what a man should be. She doesn’t try to lead either. Men have allowed western women to become so obnoxious. If men would stop drooling over hot girls maybe things would change. But that doesn’t seem likely in this culture. Not giving a flip would radically change some women’s attitude. Happy wife happy life, I think not.
Lesson I learned is it’s better to tell your wife she should use the door and leave instead of trying to change you. She probably won’t and you can stop being harassed in your own marriage. If she does leave, meh, you aren’t gonna change who are anyways. If you wanted to, you would. You just sped the divorce process along.
Then you know right away I speak truth. I know how women think, and I know how men think.
(Military experience aside, of course. :) )
You still need to watch out for any foreign bride becoming americanized, as so many do. Your best chance for that is to choose to live in some area other than the urban environments where the Liberal Lesbians tend to prowl. Hate to say it, but the deeper into any city you live, the quicker your Significant Other will become radicalized no matter what her past and begin demanding what every other american female does without let or fail.
Keep her away from the mainstream liberal loonies as much as possible and you may have a chance.

When woman also has to work outside the home she is no longer in that frame of mind where she can focus her attention/energy on all things domestic. At least, this is how it’s been for me. Then again, I have ADHD and brain wired a little differently such as unable to switch gears easily...anyways been married over 20 years and lucky to have my best friend to grow old with. But the issue is complex I know, social/cultural but also IMO our economy does not help one bit.
