I know a 27 year old who’s a professional with an advanced degree living with a 40 something professional (male) and they are finally engaged to be married. But he makes her pay half the house payment and tells her they can’t have kids until her student loans are paid off.
They are spending about $26,000 on a wedding.
I’m thinking, “why?”

Too many couples burden themselves with debt or expect relatives to spend huge sums on extravagant weddings when that money could and should be used more responsibly.
