This is stupid Three drugs are used in lethal injection. Sodium thiopental is used to induce unconsciousness, (no pain), pancuronium bromide (Pavulon) to cause muscle paralysis and respiratory arrest, and potassium chloride to stop the heart.

Way back when I spent two summers as a vet assistant, plus we've had a number of pets put down over the years, and the vet always use pentobarbital.

The animal just relaxes and goes to sleep. No seizures, no struggling, they just go to sleep ... and then die.

Why would it not be the same for humans. Just like going under anesthesia, only you don't wake up.

It is with the way it is being done. This is just someone trying to throw something in to see if it sticks to get out or cut the sentence to life without.

And you can be sure, if it was a problem with pain, the do-gooders would have already challenged the system clear up to the supreme court.
