They aren’t that fragile, I use a case and screen protector to keep them from getting marred but I have carried naked phones in the past, they get ugly but survived.

If you get insurance from the carrier, you will pay through the nose. I think there are some non-carrier insurance options for less but never used one of them, google should lead you to them and reviews about their services.

Hope you like your phone, I just about bought the S7 when it was on sale but ended up getting a mid ranger with a really big battery.

I'm now thinking of foregoing the cell phone insurance. As for the face plate protector, I know someone who accidentally dropped his Galaxy S7 face down on tile. The protector shattered but the S7 screen remained intact.

BTW, use of Checkout 51, Ibotta, and similar couponing rebate coupons should cover the cost of the 2 S7s I just got. I am big on stuff like that. In fact today I again bowled 2 games free. Since I am getting 2 FREE games 5 days per week via Kids Bowl Free. The kids I got it for are unable to use it until June but for a one-time payment of $26, I and two other adults can bowl the 2 free games each day Mon-Fri sans kids. It started April 15 and good until end of August. Oh, and I invested in a pair of $19 bowling shoes to save the $4 shoe rental.
