muliebrity [myooh lee EB rih tee]
noun
Muliebrity is womanhood, the female nature, the characteristics of a woman; more abstractly, effeminancy, softness. The word is, via Late Latin muliebritas, from Latin muliebris (womanly), based on mulier (woman).
Its conterpart is virility, from Latin virilis (male), based on vir (man).
She was as stubborn as a muliebrity.
An uncommon word, if used at all, yet one that ought to be very useful in describing 1/2 of the human race. Perhaps it is its difficulty of pronunciation. Nevertheless, I find its application well suited to the unique pulchritude of such iconic women as Sarah and Melania.
Why do so many feminists work to eliminate any trace of muliebrity in themselves? They would be so much happier if they embraced it and would then be able to attract virile men.
Do not mispronounce the word. It will lead you into a world of hurt. There are 5 syllables, not 4. We need not even find unique applications for the word since any use is uncommon, thereby unique. Appropriate usage will suffice nicely.
The words muliebrity and virility need to be banned as relics of the binary gender construct created by the white male patriarchy.
(It’s coming, you know it)
BTTT
Feminists are, by all evidence, convinced their femininity is a barrier to full personhood.
Obama could be commended for his muliebrity.
HilLIARy’e lack of muliebrity cost her the election.
Chuck (Schmucky) Schumer has so much muliebrity he cries at how much of a meany Trump is.
In fairness I left off that part of the definition. But you are correct. Virility has non gender usage. Muliebrity does not. And, yes, I fully expected the conversation. Every entry will be rife with sexual distinction. My plan is to turn a can of worms into a lovely brace of trout.
Sounds like inebriated mule.
“COMMENDED?” I am shocked. Shocked I tell you.
The problem, of course, is the word does not have common parlance and is thereby useless for universalizing characteristics that pertain exclusively to one class.
Killary Clinton and muliebrity are antithetical.
Obama reported admitted to being in touch with his muliebrity of late. Nothing that surprised anyone who saw him in his mom jeans attempting to throw a baseball and riding his girl bike.
Only if the word is mispronounced. Sound it out. The sound reference is bovine, not eunuch.
I dare say you are correct, if, by muliebrity you intend to delineate only those feminine attributes most desired by virile men.
No muliebrity in the bunch.
I read that. Perhaps he is coming out.
My husband succumbs quite acquiescently whenever I celebrate my muliebrity. ;)
Quite.
