Many months ago? Trump's only been in office since January 20th, about 3 1/2 months. I figured he wanted to give Comey a little rope to hang himself. This has actually come a lot faster than I thought it would.
Comey should have been fired months ago; he screwed the pooch all throughout '16 and proved that he couldn't/wouldn't do his job and had tried to do the jobs he had no business usurping. He can't be trusted.
He had more than enough rope and DID hang himself last July!
