It was very fun
Belles belles and belles galore
My wife was like
“Your mouth is gaping”
Actually it was at an old plantation still in the family since 1848
Cypress trees and moss and planted alfalfa everywhere since it’s often an early crop with cotton later
The Deep South knows how to throw parties and the Delta is likely the epicenter....that or Natchez
Anyhow my wife a Tennessee gal married to a Mississippian navigates it all like she was born to it
Wow, sounds fantastic. The closest I've come to seeing a sight like that is the Brookgreen Gardens plantation just south of Myrtle Beach. It's all tarted up now for the tourists, but when I was a kid (I'm older than you), it really was practically abandoned and incredibly spooky, with the long allée of mature trees hung with swaying Spanish moss leading up to the great house with the white columns, all beset by weeds and fallen leaves. Almost looked haunted.
