I’m not defending pit bulls. I think they should be outlawed. I realize they are responsible for most deaths. You claimed that Labs would not kill. I simply pointed out that Labrador Retrievers have also killed people, and invited you to do an internet search, to see that for yourself. And yes, I do have the nerve to say so. All dogs should be on leash any time they are outside a SECURE enclosed area or house. No dog should EVER be left alone with a small child or infant. Not even a Labrador Retriever.

My Dobes adore children....the whole breed tends to dote on them, for some weird reason I could not begin to guess.

Why worry over that?
Some of the “killings” reported on that craptastic ‘dogsbite’ site include people who were knocked flat by large dogs, and sustained fatal head injuries when their skulls hit rocks and such.
Anyone who “forgets” that they have something akin to a wolf in their living room is a fool, no matter the size or breed of said semi-wolf.
Stupidest question I ever hear ...”Does your dog bite?”
Well, it has teeth, so the possibility is always there.
